Name, logo, address, phone, email and your tax number if you are registered.

  2. 2. The customer

Who the quotation is for: name or company, address and contact person.

  3. 3. Quotation number and dates

A number such as QUO-0001, the date, and how long the prices are valid (often 15 or 30 days).

  4. 4. The items

Each product or service on its own line with quantity, unit price and amount, so the customer can compare.

  5. 5. Tax and total

Subtotal, the tax with its rate (VAT, GST or sales tax) if you charge it, and the total.

  6. 6. Terms

Payment terms (for example 50% advance), delivery or start date, and what is not included.

  7. 7. Signature

Your name and signature or stamp, and space for the customer to accept.

Questions

What is a quotation format?

It is the layout of a price offer you send before the work or sale: your details, the customer's, a quotation number and date, the items with prices, tax, total, validity and terms. When the customer accepts, it becomes the basis of the invoice.

Is there a quotation format in Excel and Word?

Yes. Download the free Word (.docx) or Excel (.xlsx) quotation format on this page. The Excel one adds up quantity × rate, the tax and the total by itself.

What is the difference between a quotation and an invoice?

A quotation offers a price before the customer agrees; an invoice asks for payment after they agreed and you delivered. In Tichkuly an accepted quotation turns into an invoice in one tap.

How long should a quotation be valid?

Usually 7 to 30 days. Prices of materials change, so a validity date protects you. Fill in “Valid until” above.

Is it free?

Yes. The online maker, the PDF and the Word and Excel formats are free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
