Questions

When does UAE e-invoicing start?

Businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live by 1 January 2027. Businesses below AED 50 million must appoint one by 31 March 2027 and go live by 1 July 2027. Government entities go live by 1 October 2027.

Do small businesses have to use e-invoicing?

Yes, if they invoice other businesses or government. Small businesses are included in the first phase; they simply have the later dates.

Does e-invoicing apply if I only sell to individuals?

Not in the first phase. It covers business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) invoices. Sales only to private individuals (B2C) come later.

What is the penalty for missing the deadline?

An administrative penalty of AED 5,000 for each month or part of a month of delay in putting the e-invoicing system in place.

Can Tichkuly CRM send my UAE e-invoices?

Not yet. Tichkuly CRM is not an Accredited Service Provider and does not send e-invoices. It makes tax invoices with your TRN and 5% VAT and keeps the customer details, TRNs and numbering that e-invoicing needs.
